Indications
- Acute painful muscle spasms (back pain, neck pain, muscle contractures)
- Adjunct in vertebral column disorders (spondylosis, disc herniation, torticollis)
Adult Dosing
Acute muscle spasm (oral)
8 mg PO BD–TDS for 5–7 days
Short-term use only. Not recommended beyond 7 days.
Acute spasm (IM injection)
2 mg IM every 4–6 hours (max 8 mg/day) for up to 5 days
Switch to oral as soon as possible
Pediatric Dosing
Contraindicated in children and adolescents due to genotoxicity concerns
