Indications
- Asthma exacerbation
- COPD exacerbation
- Anaphylaxis (after epinephrine)
- Autoimmune disease (RA, SLE, IBD, vasculitis)
- Allergic conditions
- Adrenal insufficiency

Adult Dosing
Asthma/COPD exacerbation
40-50 mg PO OD × 5-7 days (no taper needed)
Autoimmune flare
0.5-1 mg/kg/day, then taper based on response
Pediatric Dosing
Asthma: 1-2 mg/kg × 3-5 days, no taper needed
