Indications

Adult Dosing

Edema (oral)

20-80 mg PO OD-BD; titrate to response

Max 600 mg/day

Acute pulmonary edema

20-40 mg IV slow push, repeat every 1-2 hours

CKD with edema

May require higher doses (40-200 mg) due to reduced delivery

Maximum daily dose: 600 mg/day (typical max in CKD)

Pediatric Dosing

Age Range: All ages
Dose: 1-2 mg/kg PO OD-BD; max 6 mg/kg/day

IV: 0.5-1 mg/kg
