Adult Dosing

Most infections

200 mg PO BD or 400 mg PO OD

7 days

Typhoid fever

400 mg PO BD

14 days

Gonorrhea (uncomplicated)

400 mg PO single dose

Combine with azithromycin 1g

Maximum daily dose: 400 mg/day

Pediatric Dosing

Age Range: >6 months
Dose: 8 mg/kg/day OD or divided BD
Max/day: 400 mg/day

For AOM: 8 mg/kg/day × 5 days
