Indications

Adult Dosing

Most infections

500 mg PO once daily

3-5 days

Genital chlamydia

1 g PO single dose

Typhoid (uncomplicated)

1 g PO daily

5-7 days

Maximum daily dose: 500 mg (1g for STI single dose)

Pediatric Dosing

Age Range: >6 months
Dose: 10 mg/kg once daily on day 1, then 5 mg/kg/day for 4 days; OR 10 mg/kg/day for 3 days
Max/day: 500 mg/day

For AOM: 30 mg/kg single dose OR 10 mg/kg/day × 3 days
